The Spanish CAP Network is pleased to promote the second webinar of the “Seeds of the Mediterranean” series, an initiative launched within the framework of the Mediterranean Cluster , a cooperation group in which the National CAP Networks of Mediterranean EU Member States ( Italy, France, Romania, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Cyprus, Malta and Croatia ) and coordinated by the EU CAP Network , exchange knowledge, experiences and solutions to address common challenges affecting their rural areas.

Following the success of the first webinar , held on 16 March 2026 and focused on water management , the series continues with a new edition dedicated to water sustainability and the circular economy .

Water Sustainability within the Circular Economy

Water scarcity, climate change and increasing pressure on natural resources are among the main challenges facing Mediterranean agriculture. In this context, circular economy approaches can play a key role in improving water efficiency, reducing waste and promoting more sustainable production systems.

This webinar will showcase innovative projects and practical experiences related to water sustainability within the circular economy framework, highlighting solutions that can be transferred and adapted across Mediterranean regions.

Objectives

The webinar aims to:

  • Give visibility to innovative projects and good practices related to water sustainability and the circular economy.
  • Foster knowledge exchange among Mediterranean countries.
