The European Commission is holding its public consultation on the future of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) until May 2 to define its future priorities.

The European Commission has launched a public consultation with the aim of modernizing and simplifying the common agricultural policy to better respond to today's social, political, environmental, and economic challenges.
The public consultation, available in Spanish , will be open until 2 May 2017 , and represents an opportunity for farmers, citizens, organisations and other stakeholders to make their voices heard on the future of the common agricultural policy .
The contributions received will strengthen the Commission's work in defining future agricultural policy priorities, which must be submitted by the end of 2017, along with conclusions on the current performance of the common agricultural policy and possible policy options for its future.
The results of this public consultation will be published online and presented by the European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development at a conference to be held in Brussels in July 2017.
