With these awards, SEAE ( www.agroecologia.net ) wants to recognize those people or entities (processors, farmers, marketers, consumer promoters, technical advisors, researchers, and competent or control authorities) that contribute to developing this agroecological model and management of agrosystems that combines the production of quality food and the conservation of natural resources, considering organic agriculture and livestock as an essential driver to face the challenges posed by the sector such as the conservation and improvement of biodiversity, mitigation / adaptation to climate change, food sovereignty, water scarcity and sustainable rural development and the landscape.

There are five modalities:

1. Generation of agroecological knowledge/innovation and organic production

2. Transfer/dissemination of knowledge/innovation in organic production

3. Generation and dissemination of knowledge/innovation in organic production

4. Generation and dissemination of knowledge/innovation in ecological restoration

5. Generation and dissemination of knowledge/innovation in ecological consumption
