Economic diversification has proven to be an indispensable element of rural economies. Rural areas can provide their inhabitants with high standards of living, as well as a wealth of social and environmental resources for business development. However, rural entrepreneurs often lack specific business training. This course is being launched based on the conviction that improved training levels can provide entrepreneurs with greater opportunities for success in developing their business ideas.
The objective of the course "Entrepreneurship for Small Businesses in Rural Areas ," organized by the Directorate General for Rural Development and Forestry Policy, is to review the main tools useful for launching and developing entrepreneurial projects in rural areas, making them more profitable and competitive.
To this end, the basic qualities required by an entrepreneur will be reviewed, as well as the specific characteristics of business development in rural areas. The course will delve into the development of business models, communication strategies, and the use of social media. To conclude the course, two best practice cases in entrepreneurship will be presented.
