The inter-territorial LEADER cooperation project "Boosting capabilities in rural areas" seeks to provide equal training opportunities in rural areas.

On September 7, the working group meeting aimed at promoting the "Boosting Capacity in Rural Areas" initiative took place in Tui (Pontevedra).

This project aims to implement inter-territorial cooperation to develop resources and a training system for rural adults at risk of social exclusion or with low educational attainment. The actions focus on providing these individuals with the skills necessary to improve their employability and access to different levels of training, thereby facilitating their entry into the labor market.

During the meeting, the National Rural Network had the opportunity to explain the agreed-upon coordination procedure for this type of project, and the Local Action Groups in attendance worked on the proposed document and shared their knowledge of the topic and its relevance to each of their territories. From this point forward, they will continue working together on the development of this project.

The LEADER inter-territorial cooperation project "Boosting capacities in rural areas" is being promoted by the Galicia Southwest Development Association (EURURAL) . Currently, 15 Local Action Groups from Galicia, Castile and León, Castile-La Mancha, Andalusia, the Canary Islands, and Cantabria have joined. We remind you that any Local Action Groups interested in participating are still welcome to join.
