The seminar, organized by the European Commission within the framework of EIP-AGRI, will be held in Kilkenny, Ireland, on 1 and 2 June 2017.

Universities, research technology organizations, farmers, farmer organizations, entrepreneurs, SMEs, start-ups, incubators, investors, EU and Member State regions, innovation corridors, agricultural advisory services, community networks and platforms, as well as anyone who may have relevant ideas or experiences with the implementation and development of ecosystems for the development and collaboration with digital innovation hubs in agriculture across Europe, are invited to participate.

The specific objectives of the seminar are:

1.- Detail the concept of digital innovation hubs (DIHS) and how they can contribute to mainstream digital innovation in agriculture.
2.- Identify and connect existing initiatives and entities in Europe with the capacity to share technical, financial, training, and other services to contribute to the development of DIHS in agriculture.
3.- Identification and discussion of the specific needs and potential obstacles to developing DIHS in Europe, especially in relation to agriculture.
4.- Define the main priority steps to further develop DIHS in agriculture and promote collaboration between them at the European level.
