- The "Interconnected Lives" initiative will select entrepreneurial projects with a positive social and economic impact in Aragon.
- The program has received 28 proposals in its first edition
The Aragonese rural environment has been at the center of the revitalization of the territory in recent months thanks to the "Interconnected Lives" initiative , launched by Apadrinaunolivo.org through its "Smart Rural Alarm Clocks" initiative within the framework of "Aragón Despierta Futuro."
The program seeks to select up to 30 projects with high transformative potential in the provinces of Teruel, Huesca, and Zaragoza. Ultimately, 28 proposals were submitted, reflecting the vitality and creativity of the Aragonese people.
Goals
"Interconnected Lives" was born with the purpose of activating ideas capable of revitalizing rural areas and opening new opportunities, seeking projects that actively contribute to the future development of our rural areas, fostering connections between people, generations, the economy, and the environment. Its main objectives include:
Promote entrepreneurship by supporting projects with social and economic impact.
Revalue traditional knowledge and connect it with new solutions for its conservation.
Generate social and territorial cohesion, strengthening the bond between generations and communities.
Connecting the region to global opportunities through innovation, sustainability, and digitalization.
Support and mentor rural entrepreneurs, offering resources and services tailored to their needs.
Categories
The call was structured into six main areas of action that outline the lines of innovation for the future of the region:
International solidarity and relief: initiatives for knowledge transfer, trade recovery, and community care.
Social and solidarity economy: care projects, collaborative models, and alternative local production.
Bioeconomy and circular economy: proposals for clean production, environmental regeneration, and environmental conservation.
Orange Economy: Cultural and creative initiatives that transform rural heritage into an economic engine.
Citizen science: participatory research projects that integrate local knowledge and technology.
Technological solutions and “Smart Villages”: digital tools to foster cooperation between municipalities.
In addition, the organization opened the door to new categories that could arise from the proposals received.
Benefits of the call
The "boost" offered by "Interconnected Lives" is not just support: it's the key to accessing external resources that can make a difference at any stage of the selected projects: incubation, growth, innovation, or consolidation.
With this support, projects can benefit from:
Specialized training as a preparation for the challenges of the sector.
Legal, accounting, and tax advice to help you make informed decisions.
Mentoring and consulting with experienced professionals who will guide you through each process.
Licenses for digital tools that enhance the production of each product or campaign.
Materials to condition the workspace and make it more efficient.
Other support tailored to the specific needs of each project, significantly reducing obstacles.
With these opportunities, each project can grow with confidence, tools, and tailored support, enhancing both its individual development and connections within the network.
Requirements and participation
The call was open to:
Self-employed workers and SMEs created in the last two years.
Entrepreneurs committed to formalizing a company.
Citizens with entrepreneurial ideas for rural Aragon.
The registration period was extended until August 1, and 28 projects were finally received: 17 from Teruel, 9 from Huesca, and 2 from Zaragoza.
A future under construction
With the closing of the call for proposals, the Smart Rural Awakening Center now begins the evaluation phase. The goal is to review each proposal to identify its strengths, specific needs, and level of progress.
The selected initiatives will have the opportunity to present their projects on September 18, 2025. Projects that are not selected will still be able to receive support from the center to improve their preparation for future calls.
The call thus lays the foundation for a model that combines entrepreneurship, sustainability, and social cohesion, projecting rural Aragon as a dynamic and promising space.
