Culture means cultivation. It's the moment when human beings cease to be nomadic, when they begin to cultivate the land to feed themselves, when they settle, and culture develops. Rural areas are truly cultural: culture connects territories. And, in turn, it weaves an economic network around them.
- The National Rural Network (RRN) has organized a conference on youth entrepreneurship in rural areas in the leisure and culture sector.
- The event brought together more than 130 attendees and included the participation of young entrepreneurs in this field and also experts.
Hence the event organized by the RRN: "Youth Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas in the Area of Leisure and Culture," which featured experiences from the autonomous communities of Navarre, the Basque Country, and Extremadura and brought together more than 130 participants.
The objective of the event was to learn about business projects and best practices promoted by young people in the leisure and culture sector in rural areas, so that these experiences could serve as inspiration and connect other young entrepreneurs from different autonomous communities.

Rural youth
The NRN is focusing its Action Plan these months on the topic of youth , through a series of activities designed to respond to the needs identified through a survey and a meeting of the thematic group of experts specifically established for this purpose.
The main need identified is to ensure the employability of youth in rural areas.
In this context, this was the first of a five-day series on rural entrepreneurship by sector organized by the RRN, specifically aimed at young people. This series has a territorial focus and will cover different economic sectors, each with special relevance in certain regions but of interest to rural areas across the country.
Thus, the next scheduled sessions are on the following topics: the forestry sector (November 3), local businesses (November 10), small industries (November 17) and organic production (November 24).
