The Group's first objective is to develop a Manual of Good Environmental Practices based on successful experiences.

The next phase of the development of the Manual of Good Environmental Practices in Rural Areas concludes with the meeting of the Working Group held on June 29 at the Management Unit of the National Rural Network of MAGRAMA.

Participants from the previous phase were invited to the meeting, including representatives from various associations and entities belonging to the RRN and related to rural development, such as the Spanish Beekeepers Association, Agri-Food Cooperatives, environmental associations, foundations, and hunting associations.

Lourdes Barona Florez, Head of the Management Coordination Area, attended on behalf of MAGRAMA. She made the introductions and gave way to the group coordinator, thus starting the meeting.

As decided in the previous meetings, the working group presented the compiled templates, which will serve as the starting point for developing the final template for the Good Practices Manual. The proposals received from group members were analyzed, and a selection was then made, grouping them into five sectors: agriculture, livestock, forestry, hunting, and tourism.

Finally, a deadline was agreed upon for completing the final sheets. A future meeting will review the submitted work for the publication of the Manual of Good Practices in Rural Areas and produce several videos showcasing the most interesting practices from each of the five sectors, for wider dissemination and public awareness.
