The PAC Network 's " Rural Entrepreneurship Courses " continue to establish themselves as a benchmark for those seeking to develop a sustainable project in rural areas. This year, they reached their tenth and eleventh editions, taking place from September to October and from October to November 2024, respectively.
Each course was attended by 45 people . With this training, the PAC Network continues its commitment to strengthening the capabilities of those seeking to start a business in rural areas, promoting impactful initiatives with a forward-looking vision, and assessing the work done on personal branding and business plans.
Special mentions
During the final days of the 10th and 11th editions of the " Rural Entrepreneurship Course, " all the students' projects were presented and discussed. After evaluation by the course instructors, the following projects were selected as "excellent":
- “ Wanderlust ” : Revitalizing towns with heart and connection – Yanina Chiora (Soria)
This initiative focuses on revitalizing rural municipalities through a comprehensive and humanized employment strategy: connecting job seekers with employers and boosting their social media presence to repopulate the towns. Its goal is to build bridges between municipalities and people interested in moving to rural areas, promoting community rebirth in a personalized and effective way.
- “La Alfonsina, a rural pause” – Cynthia Ayelen (León)
This agroecological project aims to offer home gardening classes; sell boxes of seasonal produce and produce products made from the raw materials obtained; harvest rainwater; plant fine fruits; and so on. This project, therefore, carries out several activities geared toward organic gardens, healthy cooking, and eco-farms.
- “ AFRICA DECORATES ” – África Herrero (Úbeda, Jaén)
This program aims to foster a dialogue between design, nature, and architecture through the restoration and rehabilitation of rural spaces of interest, leveraging irrigation and plant maintenance techniques using ancient techniques.
- Extensive grazing project for fire prevention – Íñigo Lorenzo (Navarra)
The project's objective is to increase the biodiversity of the Navarrese territory, create a grazing model for fire prevention and optimize the resources of the natural environment to the maximum. All this, through actions to support pollinators by placing several points with bee apiaries in the area or actions on livestock to make a staggered and complete use of the environment.
- Rural tourism digital marketing agency – Laura Valero (Almería)
The PAC Network has highlighted this project for bringing digital marketing closer to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and self-employed workers in the tourism sector in the provinces of Almería and Murcia, especially in municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants, helping them take advantage of the opportunities offered by the digital world with brand positioning strategies, SEO, Google and social media campaigns, email marketing, and management of their professional social media accounts.
- “Walyar. Routes with history” – Sonia Fernández (Güéjar Sierra, Granada)
The student in this project has designed a network of dramatized interpretive routes in the province of Granada to make history more accessible and enjoyable, turning it into an engaging experience.
