Terracultura: culture, participation and territorial transformation in rural areas

We are very pleased to present Terracultura, a new program promoted by the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation , in collaboration with Red2Red , aimed at LEADER Groups throughout Spain .

Terracultura was created with the aim of supporting LEADER Groups in promoting and supporting cultural democracy processes in rural areas, as a tool for community participation, cohesion and social and territorial transformation.

Inspired by the Terralimenta experience , the program will accompany between 7 and 10 LEADER Groups from the beginning of 2027 for 18 months through an itinerary that combines:

  • Territorial diagnosis
  • Specialized training
  • Mentoring and advice to promote initiatives in the territory
  • Creation of collaboration and exchange networks

Through this program, participating LEADER Groups are expected to acquire knowledge and tools that will strengthen their role in supporting artistic and cultural initiatives and organizations to promote cultural democracy processes within their communities. These processes will foster active and shared citizen participation in finding solutions to current social challenges, positioning culture as a key tool for strengthening ties, encouraging community involvement, and contributing to development and social cohesion.

📅The application period will be open from September 30th to October 30th .
