The Coalition for Another CAP is organizing the second edition of PACmeCrazy , an event that proposes a different way of approaching the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the agri-food system: rural-themed monologues starring those who live, research and participate in the policies that affect the countryside , combining personal experiences, data and humor.
Under the slogan " They give the CAP" , this occasion focuses on women, coinciding with the International Year of the Female Farmer and on the eve of the International Day of Rural Women .
Four women will address, from different perspectives, some of the major challenges facing rural areas and the agri-food system: generational change and the difficulties of entering and remaining in the countryside; the role of women and gender inequalities; food loss and waste; and how decisions are made about the CAP and where this policy should be headed .
The event, which is free to attend , will take place in an unusual setting for discussing agriculture and agricultural policy: the central square of the San Fernando Market in Lavapiés (Madrid) , with the aim of bringing these debates to new audiences in an open and relaxed atmosphere.
In addition, during the event, the public will be able to enjoy the food and drinks offered by the establishments in the market itself, located around the stage (drinks not included).
