Castile and León and Galicia are calling for grants, co-financed by the EAFRD, for the formation of Operational Groups (OG) in 2017 within the framework of their Rural Development Programmes (RDP) for the period 2014-2020.

January 31, 2017

The grants are intended to promote the creation of Operational Groups (OGs) that meet the objectives of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) in terms of agricultural productivity and sustainability, and to support their operation, as provided for in Submeasure 16.1 of the respective RDPs. In the case of Castile and León, the grants also aim to promote the drafting of innovative projects, based on Submeasure 16.2.

The purpose of the aid in Castile and León is to improve competitiveness in the processing and marketing of agricultural, forestry, and food products, and to achieve this competitiveness through cooperation and research in the agri-food sector.

In Galicia, the call for applications aims to finance the creation of operational groups to launch innovative pilot projects developing new products, practices, processes, and technologies in the agricultural, forestry, and food supply sectors. The operational groups formed must meet the objectives of the AEI, defining a specific project that solves a problem in Galicia or takes advantage of a specific opportunity in the agri-food and forestry sectors.
