Local action groups present their proposals for LEADER cooperation

19.12.2016

Nearly 100 attendees gathered on December 13 at the headquarters of MAPAMA's National Rural Network (RRN) to share their proposals and ideas for LEADER cooperation projects for the 2014-2020 period, with the goal of finding partners to jointly implement these initiatives.

This is the third LEADER event organized by the National Research Network (NRN), which, as in the previous edition, focused on submeasure 19.3 "cooperation." During the meeting, the proponent local action groups (LAGs) presented their project proposals in various rooms, after which they held working sessions on their proposals with the other interested groups present.

During the plenary session, the NRN explained the latest developments of the LEADER Cooperation Working Group between management authorities and rural development networks, the NRN's upcoming actions aimed at LAGs, as well as the logistics of the meeting. After this, the Local Action Groups Ofycumi, MAIV-Baixo Miño and CEDER-La Serena, groups whose projects were presented at the previous LEADER event, presented their experiences, the status of their projects and their participation in the territorial experience exchanges organised by the NRN in Teruel and Pontevedra.

The remainder of the day was devoted to the presentation, in each room, of the 17 cooperation project proposals by the LAGs, giving them the opportunity to share them with other interested groups and connect with potential partners.

After the presentations of the projects, the attendees divided into roundtables to discuss each cooperation project, with the goal of beginning to plan its implementation, defining its objectives, and the actions to be carried out.

In addition, attendees had the opportunity to propose other cooperation projects through a proposal panel where interested parties could leave their contact information.

Almost all of the proposals are active on the private application for local action groups on the RRN website: http://www.redruralnacional.es/area-privada-gal/inicio , in the project search engine, an application that also allows you to discuss proposed projects in their respective forums.

For all these projects, the National Research Network (NRN) will continue to provide support in fulfilling its objective of facilitating inter-territorial and transnational cooperation.
