As part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food grant for activities of special interest to promote the role of women in rural development, the Association of Women of Agri-Food Cooperatives of Spain (AMCAE) will implement a program of actions in which social, economic, and technological innovation will take center stage.

This event aims to highlight and strengthen the role of women in agri-food cooperatives, not only in production but also in decision-making and leadership roles. In the context of the International Year of Cooperatives and the 9th Congress of Agri-Food Cooperatives of Spain, this initiative seeks to promote social sustainability through generational renewal, gender equality, and the recognition of female leadership in rural areas, promoting a more inclusive and people-centered cooperative model. In addition, tools from the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) that support these goals will be discussed.
