This is an advanced course that offers a comprehensive overview of genetic resources for agriculture and food. It covers four key sectors: plant breeding, forestry, livestock, and aquaculture, analyzing their strategic importance for biodiversity conservation, environmental sustainability, socioeconomic development, and food security.

The program combines biological, ecological, and genetic foundations with the legal framework that regulates access to and use of these resources. Researchers and specialists in the sector will present recent research findings, as well as practical case studies demonstrating how the proper management of genetic diversity can transform agri-food systems into more sustainable ones.
