AMCAE Conference: From the Land to Leadership: Women Cooperativists Changing the Course: Use of Drones in Wine Farms.

Within the framework of the grant from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food for carrying out activities of special interest to promote the role of women in rural development, the Association of Women of Agri-food Cooperatives of Spain (AMCAE) will implement a program of actions in which social, economic and technological innovation will take center stage.

The event is part of a broader effort to promote cooperatives as a sustainable and equitable model, highlighting the role of rural women as agents of change. In this context, it addresses the use of drones in viticulture as an innovative tool to improve crop management and optimize treatments. Its objectives are to introduce the technical foundations of this technology and demonstrate its practical applications, such as detecting water stress or pests. It also aims to foster digitalization in rural areas, strengthen female leadership in cooperatives, and raise awareness of the opportunities offered by the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) to promote modernization, sustainability, and equality in the wine sector.
